About Us

Picture
The FCA Silhouettes are a precision drill team that enhances Founders' school spirit.  We perform dance and kick routines at high school football games, basketball games, pep rallies, school functions and community events.  The varsity team this season consists of 9th-12th grade. We added a junior varsity team in 2020 which is open to 7th and 8th grade. Our inaugural season began in February 2015, when two students who had prior drill team experience, petitioned Headmaster Caros with their plan and passion to start a drill team for 2015-2016.  We are proud that our foundation is based on student leadership, and that their dream became a reality.  We attribute our success to hard work and dedication, leadership opportunities, teamwork, growth in our dance skills and technique, and forever friendships with our Silhouettes.

Director
Jackie Dietzler

Jackie Dietzler has served for the past 9 years as the FCA Silhouettes Director. She has had two daughters serve as captain and they have both graduated from FCA. Jackie's youngest daughter is currently in 7th grade at the school.  Her favorite thing about coaching the drill team is seeing the girls develop into strong dancers and the joy on their faces when they achieve a skill that they have been working on.

Jackie was involved with color guard in high school and performed at the collegiate level when she attended college at the University of Arizona.  She embraced her love of dance when 2 of her daughters started taking dance classes.  She helped start a drill team when her daughters attended Lakeland
Christian Academy. She loves working with the drill team and hopes to continue her journey as Director of the FCA Silhouettes
Part - Time Coach

Samantha Dietzler

Samantha Dietzler has been dancing since she was  two years    old - from studio to a middle school drill team and two years on the Silhouettes. Sam was one of the founding members of the Silhouettes, going to Mr. Caros to propose the benefits of drill team. During her second and final year, Sam was a co-captain.

After graduating from Founders, Sam attended Baylor University where she studied public relations journalism and creative writing. She proceeded to stay in Waco and currently works at the nonprofit, Family Abuse Center, as the Director of Development. She also serves as a Recruitment and Marketing Advisor for Alpha Delta Pi sorority at Baylor.

Sam has continued to pursue her love of dance in college. She performed multiple times in Baylor Sing and Stompfest, co-chairing in her final year. Sam has continued to return to the Silhouettes every year to choreograph. She is excited to return as a part-time coach.

Assistant Coach
Ashlynn Wood

Ashlynn was on Drill Team for 3 years and served as an officer for 2 years. She attended FCA from 3rd grade until she graduated in 2023. She has had a love for dance since she was young, and pursued that in studio classes until she joined the Silhouettes. She is dedicated and loves helping others strive to flourish in what she enjoys alongside them.

Ashlynn intends to pursue dance in the future and help coach the Silhouettes with choreography and training. She can’t wait to see how the girls grow in their love for dance as she returns as an assistant coach.
